I have worked in the medical field for over 10 years now, starting my career as a dental nurse back in 2009 at the ripe old age of 17.

After gaining both NHS and Private Dental Nursing experience I decided to return to college where I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A-Level with the hopes of one day becoming a Dentist.

Turns out that career just wasn’t quite ‘me’. 

​

So I began to rethink my options, and ended up in my current profession working for the NHS Business Services Authority. 

​

Having always been, as my Mam calls it, ‘arty’ along with being a fan of a tattoo (or 100) I decided to embark on a Body Piercing course in 2019 and the rest was history. I felt like I had finally found the ‘me’ that was missing in my work life. 

​

I started my Body Piercing career at a tattoo shop in North Shields where I worked until August 2020 when Blades and Needles was born!

​

I currently pierce twice a week alongside my NHS role but the dream is to become your lovely, local piercer full time! 

​
